CU Regents can and MUST do more to rein in costs of higher ed.

CU Regents exercise “exclusive control and direction of all funds of and appropriations to the university” – as such, the Board can and MUST do more to rein in costs of higher ed.

Matt is a military veteran and continues to serve in the Colorado Army National Guard (COARNG), currently holding the rank of Captain.

We should expect graduates of CU - a taxpayer-subsidized state flagship institution of higher education - to understand the basics and core concepts of our civil society and system of government.

Matt’s civic engagement has included participation in both the Colorado Institute for Leadership Training (CILT, Class of 2000) and the Leadership Program of the Rockies (LPR, Class of 2008, Class President).

CU should continue to expand the Center for Western Civilization into a stronger program including core courses and full department/degree status.

Matt founded and ran Clear The Bench Colorado, educating Colorado citizens about their right to hold our state judicial branch officeholders accountable and raised awareness of the critical role played by our third branch of government in upholding constitutional rights and the rule of law.
